Michael Jackson Thriller Tribute Amsterdam
On the 19th of July 2009 over 1,000 mob dancers were taught to dance
Thriller in Amsterdam's Vondelpark.
2 hours later they flashmobbed Museumplein
followed by Leidseplein, Keizersgracht and Dam Square.
The mob grew in size and the movement took on a life of it's own & the city of Amsterdam was filled with the sound of dancers dancing over and over again to Thriller in Tribute to the King of Pop.
The movement was created by Isabelle O'Kane and friends & was inspired by Stockholm's rendition of "Beat it" created by Bounce Streetdance Company.
We call on other cities to continue the chain & flashmob
in the spirit of Michael Jackson.
RIP MIchael.
